Short answer

OpeEye is machine shop software for the shop floor: every machine live (running, setup, stopped, breakdown), job cards and part masters, pieces and rejects against target, downtime with reasons, OEE, job cost per piece, tool and insert life, quality checks, and shift and daily reports written automatically. It costs ₹399 per machine a month in India and $5 elsewhere, with unlimited users, and works alongside your ERP rather than replacing it.

Questions machine shops ask

What is machine shop software?

+

Software that runs a machine shop's work: which jobs are on which machines, what each machine is doing right now, how many pieces were made and rejected, where time was lost, what each job really cost, and tool and quality records. Some products also cover quoting, purchasing and accounting; OpeEye covers the shop floor and works alongside your ERP or Tally for the office side.

What is the best software for a CNC machine shop?

+

It depends on what is costing you most. If you don't know which machine is standing and why, start with shop-floor software like OpeEye (₹399 per machine a month in India, $5 elsewhere). If quoting and invoicing are the bottleneck, look at a job-shop ERP first. Many shops end up with both, connected by exports.

Does OpeEye do quoting, invoicing or accounting?

+

No. OpeEye is the shop-floor side: machines, jobs, operators, tools, quality and production reports. Quoting, purchase, invoicing and accounts stay in your ERP or Tally; OpeEye's reports export to Excel and PDF, and a direct ERP link can be built to order.

Does OpeEye schedule jobs on machines?

+

Not automatically. Job cards are assigned to machines and the floor board shows what is running, what is next and what is late, but there is no automatic scheduling engine. If you need one built around your machines and rules, it can be a custom build on the same platform.

How much does machine shop software cost?

+

OpeEye is ₹399 per machine per month in India and $5 outside, with unlimited users, no setup fee and a free 15-day trial. Job-shop ERPs are usually priced per user and often with an implementation fee — compare the full cost for your headcount and machine count over three years.

Will it work on old and manual machines?

+

Yes. Every machine starts on an operator tablet, so a 30-year-old lathe or a press is covered the same day as a new VMC. Machines with Fanuc, Mitsubishi, Siemens and Haas controls can report counts, cycle time and alarms directly; others can use a small counting box on the cycle signal.
