Best machine monitoring software in India (2026)

Six products Indian factories use to see their machines live — compared on what they cost, how data leaves the machine, where it is stored and who each one suits. Sources linked for every claim.

Updated · By Dev Hadvani, Founder of OpeEye

Short answer

The best machine monitoring software for an Indian factory depends on three things: whether you want a published price, whether your machines have modern controls, and whether your data must stay on your own server. OpeEye publishes ₹399 per machine a month and works on machines of any age; MachineWise is on-premises first; M-Connect, sfHawk and IntelliTrack quote on request.

How we compared them

  • Price: published on the maker's site, or on request
  • How data leaves the machine: tablet, sensor, gateway or controller
  • Where the data lives: cloud or a server in your plant
  • Who the maker says it is for
  • Only what each maker says about its own product — no ratings, no reviews

How to choose for your floor

  1. Count your machines by type of control. Machines with a Fanuc, Mitsubishi or Siemens control can report by themselves; conventional lathes, presses and old CNCs need a tablet or a signal counter. The five ways to monitor a machine without a PLC explains what each one knows.
  2. Get the full price in writing. Per machine, per user, hardware, setup and yearly charges — then multiply by your machine count for three years.
  3. Ask how stop reasons are captured. A system that shows a machine stopped but not why only tells you what you already see from the floor.
  4. Run a pilot on two of your own machines for two weeks before signing anything longer.

Questions shop owners ask

What is the best machine monitoring software in India?

+

It depends on your floor. For a published price and machines of every age, OpeEye (₹399 per machine a month, live in a day). For data kept on your own server, MachineWise. For mixed-vintage multi-shift plants, M-Connect. For gauge monitoring and traceability, sfHawk. Ask each for a pilot on two of your own machines before deciding.

How much does machine monitoring software cost in India?

+

Most Indian vendors quote on request. OpeEye publishes ₹399 per machine per month with unlimited users, so 10 machines cost ₹3,990 a month. Budget separately for hardware: a tablet per machine, a counting box or gateway for automatic counting, and any network work in the shed. Our guide to machine monitoring software cost in India breaks this down.

Can machine monitoring work on old machines without a controller?

+

Yes. An operator tablet works on any machine, a counting box can read the cycle-complete or stack-light signal, and a clamp-on current sensor can tell running from idle. Only the direct controller link needs a CNC control with a supported protocol.

Cloud or on-premises machine monitoring — which is better for an Indian factory?

+

Cloud needs no server in the plant and lets the owner see the floor from anywhere; the factory needs a steady internet connection, and good tablets keep logging offline when it drops. On-premises keeps the data inside the plant but needs a server and someone to look after it. Cloud suits a shop without IT staff; on-premises suits a plant whose IT rules keep production data inside.

What should I ask a machine monitoring vendor before buying?

+

The price per machine with everything included, whether users cost extra, what hardware is needed per machine, how the operator gives the reason for a stop, whether tablets work offline, what happens to your data if you stop, and whether they will run a pilot on two of your own machines first.
