Privacy Policy

Last updated: 22 June 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how OpeEye (“we”, “us”) handles information in the OpeEye Operator mobile app and the OpeEye web platform (together, the “Service”). OpeEye is a business-to-business manufacturing operations tool used by factories to monitor machines, jobs, and shop-floor activity. The Service is made available to workers and administrators by their employer (the “Company”), which controls the accounts and data within its workspace.

1. Who controls your data

For each workspace, the Company is the data controller and OpeEye acts as a data processor on the Company’s behalf. We process data to provide the Service to that Company. If you are an operator or administrator, the Company that issued your login decides what data is collected and for how long it is kept. Questions about your own records should generally go to your employer first.

2. Information we collect

We collect only what the Service needs to function:

  • Account & identity data. Your name, the operator or user code assigned by your Company, your role, the Company you belong to, and — for administrators — an email address and password (stored only as a secure hash).
  • Work activity data. Records you create while using the Service: machine logins, job and cycle activity, quantities produced, rejections, pauses, breakdowns, tool and fluid changes, and the timestamps of those actions. This is operational factory data, used to report shop-floor performance to your Company.
  • Device & push-notification data. If you enable notifications, we store a push-notification token for your device so we can deliver alerts (for example, a machine breakdown). We also store the server address and Company identifier you configure so the app can connect to the right workspace.
  • Technical data. Basic technical information needed to operate and secure the Service, such as the app version and platform (Android/iOS) of your device.

We do not collect your location, contacts, photos, microphone, or advertising identifiers, and we do not use the Service for advertising.

3. How we use information

  • To authenticate you and keep your workspace secure.
  • To provide the core Service — recording shop-floor activity and showing live machine, job, and performance data to your Company.
  • To send operational notifications you or your Company have enabled.
  • To maintain, troubleshoot, and improve the reliability of the Service.

We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.

4. How information is shared

Data within a Company’s workspace is visible to authorized users of that same Company (for example, supervisors and administrators) as part of normal operations. We share data with service providers only to run the Service:

  • Cloud hosting for our servers and database.
  • Expo / push-notification gateways (Expo, Google Firebase Cloud Messaging, and Apple Push Notification service) to deliver notifications to your device.
  • Email delivery providers for transactional email such as password resets.

These providers process data on our instructions. We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights and safety of users and the Service.

5. Data retention

We keep account and work-activity data for as long as your Company maintains its workspace and as needed to provide the Service. When a Company closes its account, or upon a valid deletion request, we delete or anonymize the associated personal data within a reasonable period, except where we must retain it to meet legal obligations.

6. Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data. Because your employer controls the workspace, the fastest route is usually to ask your Company’s administrator. You can also contact us directly using the details below and we will work with your Company to honor valid requests.

7. Account and data deletion

Operators and most users do not have a self-service account — logins are issued and managed by the Company. To request deletion of your account and associated personal data, email support@opeeye.com with your Company name and your operator or admin login. We will verify the request with your Company and delete the associated personal data within 30 days, unless we are legally required to keep certain records. You can also raise the request directly inside the app under Settings → Privacy & data.

8. Security

We protect data in transit using encrypted (HTTPS/TLS) connections, store passwords only as secure hashes, and keep authentication tokens in your device’s protected storage. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable technical and organizational measures to safeguard your information.

9. Children

The Service is intended for use by employees in a workplace and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 16.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will revise the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, notify Companies using the Service.
